Busy week!

Well, lots has happened the past week here at Mason's and Anslee's house. I guess I will start where I left off. Gigi and aunt Jaime got home from vacation safely and bearing many gifts! Two of which were stuffed Mickey and Minnie mouse for my two children! Mason loves his! He also enjoyed getting the four or five post cards Gigi sent in the mail :-). Before they got home though, Granddad got to spend some one on one time with his granddaughter. I think she has him wrapped up already! Ha!

I was out of town this weekend playing golf with my college roommate. We had a good time. Mason had a better time at the ZOO! His mama took him on Saturday as a treat while Anslee stayed with Gigi and Granddad.

Sunday at church...not a word! Can you believe it?! He sat all the way through the children's sermon and didn't say a peep! I'm pumped. Although, that just means he is saving up for next week, right?!?!
Monday night, Greg, Liz, and Lauren came over for supper. Amber cooked us some chicken and dressing...mmm...and then we played a bit! Once Lauren warmed up to Mason, Amber, and I, she had a really good time playing. Mason didn't quite understand why she didn't want to get behind the chair in his "pirate ship" and play pirates. As the picture says, we had fun!

Finally, we are such a big boy now that we have homework! UGH! E is for eagle as you can see! Mason is doing so well at school. He can read all the letters in any word now and can tell you some words that start with a particular letter. It doesn't seem like he should be able to do all that yet. Makes me happy and sad at the same time.

Oh, and one other big thing, we have a contract on the sale of our home. Yeah! I think! The people have to sell their home first. We shall see. I can't think of the artist, but the chorus of one of my favorite songs says, "My God never fails." He has never failed us, and never will. He is so good to us, and I give him all the glory. My children are His. My wife is His. My parents and sister are His. All He asks me to do is love them, obey Him, and He will take care of the rest. I almost feel guilt for how much we are blessed as a family...but I also think, what would I not do or give for MY children? How great is our God, thank you Father.

Mason, E is the most important letter of the WHOLE alphabet. E is for Eagle, yes. E is for Elephant, too. But more importantly E is for MEEEE, ERICA! =0)

Love getting to follow your blog and keep up with your growing kiddos. Thanks for doing it, Josh!
